LA designer Melody Ehsani just revealed her second collaboration with Jordan, it’s a cherry themed sneaker called Air Jordan Women’s.
The sneaker debuted in 1998 and was the first performance basketball shoe created for women. Jordan relaunched the shoe last month in the original white colorway, but Ehsani changed the deets- she swapped out the white to black with red specks on the outsole tongue and heel.
Her shoe is detailed with reflective piping on the upper and the shoe also includes a double cherry lace lock.
In an IG post announcing the shoe, the caption read, “Melody is bringing back the women’s Jordan basketball shoe in honor of women’s history month, the ladies of the WNBA and the anniversary of Love & Basketball. This commemoration of the shoe comes with the emblem of a cherry, which throughout time has been associated with symbols of abundance, fertility & protection. I pass these on to you.”
The launch hasn’t been announced officially but here’s to hoping she will drop some cherry-themed clothing items in her store around the time of the sneaker launch.
